The Kano State Police Command has announced the arrest of 35 suspects linked to various criminal activities, including armed robbery, kidnapping, theft, drug trafficking, and fraud. At a press conference held at the police headquarters in Bompai, Kano, spokesperson Abdullahi Haruna presented the suspects and exhibited the recovered items, which include firearms, stolen vehicles, solar batteries, mobile phones, and counterfeit currency.
Among the notable arrests are:
– Five suspected armed robbers apprehended in connection with a robbery incident in Hotoro Quarters, Kano, with a vehicle and locally made gun seized
– Two suspected kidnappers arrested, leading to the rescue of two victims in a forest in Gubuchi Village, Makarfi LGA, Kaduna State
– Five suspected thieves arrested with five solar batteries recovered in Warawa LGA, Kano
– Two mobile phone robbers arrested with a sharp knife and stolen phone recovered in Dorayi Quarters, Kano
– Three suspected drug dealers arrested with 98 Exol tablets and a block of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp seized in Yan-tagwage Quarters, Kano
