Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has exhorted Nigerian youths to approach the future with optimism and confidence, despite the prevailing challenges facing the nation.
Governor Makinde made the remarks while addressing National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members during their passing-out ceremony at the Lagos State Orientation Camp.
The governor, whose daughter was among the graduating corps members, emphasized the significance of utilizing the NYSC experience as a springboard for laying a solid foundation for future success.
Drawing from his personal experience, Governor Makinde noted that some of the corps members may establish lifelong connections, including business partnerships and marital relationships, during their service year.
He cautioned the youths against complacency, stressing the importance of focus, responsibility, and perseverance in overcoming challenges.
Governor Makinde’s words of encouragement aim to inspire Nigerian youths to strive for excellence and reach their full potential.
The governor also expressed gratitude to the camp officials for accommodating his daughter and ensuring her safety during the orientation period.
