Popular social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has called on Nigerian singer Folarin Falana, known as Falz, to recognize the pervasive corruption within the system. This statement was made during a recent address where VDM expressed his frustration over the ongoing ₦15 million bribery allegations involving Bobrisky.
“I wish everyone was here to see how bad corruption has eaten deep into our system,” VDM lamented, emphasizing the need for collective awareness and action against corruption.
VDM’s appeal comes in the wake of a legal dispute with Falz, who had demanded a retraction and apology from VDM over alleged defamatory statements. These statements implicated Falz in a scheme to secure a presidential pardon for Bobrisky, who is embroiled in legal troubles.
Falz, through his legal representatives at Falana & Falana Chambers, issued a 24-hour ultimatum for VDM to retract his claims and apologize. The legal notice, dated September 26, 2024, accused VDM of spreading false information that could damage Falz’s reputation.
Despite the legal pressure, VDM remains steadfast in his stance, urging Falz and the public to focus on the broader issue of corruption. He reiterated his commitment to exposing corrupt practices and holding those responsible accountable.
The ongoing controversy has drawn significant public attention, with many Nigerians closely following the developments. The outcome of this dispute could have far-reaching implications for both parties and the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
