United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) has announced its sponsorship of the Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF) for the sixth consecutive year. The 38th edition of the fair is scheduled to take place at the Tafawa Balewa Square from November 1-10, 2024.
At a press briefing held at the Commerce House, Lagos, Babatunde Ajayi, UBA’s Head of SME Banking, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting African businesses. He highlighted the bank’s dedication to providing comprehensive market access and seamless transaction capabilities through its extensive retail platforms.
The Vice President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Akinbo Akin Olugbade, expressed gratitude to UBA for its unwavering support, noting that the partnership has been instrumental in the success of the fair and the growth of SMEs in Africa.
The LITF is expected to attract over one million visitors this year, with free entry for all attendees. The number of exhibitors is also projected to exceed the annual average of 3,500 by about 50 percent. State-of-the-art security measures will be deployed to ensure the safety of all participants.
