President Bola Tinubu is set to swear in seven newly appointed ministers into his cabinet today, Monday, November 4. The ceremony will take place at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, as announced by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.
The new ministers, who were confirmed by the Senate on October 31 after a thorough screening process, include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment, and Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Other appointees are Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.
This swearing-in follows a major cabinet reshuffle on October 23, where President Tinubu reassigned ten ministers to new portfolios, discharged five others, and nominated seven new ministers for Senate confirmation. The new appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to their respective ministries, contributing to the administration’s efforts to address the country’s challenges and drive development.
