Popular Nigerian artist Peter Okoye, known as Mr P from the duo P-Square, has refuted claims of song theft made by his twin brother, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy. The dispute centers around a track titled “Winning,” which Rudeboy claims was intended for his upcoming album.
Rudeboy voiced surprise after Mr P released the song, which was produced by their former producer, Vampire, ahead of his own release. In response, Mr P took to Instagram, stating that “Winning” was co-written and composed by him alongside artist Calypso60. “Person no dey thief him own property! It is well!” Mr P declared, adding gratitude to Vampire for supporting his stance.
Emphasizing collaboration, Mr P clarified, “For the record, ‘Winning’ was written and composed by @calypso60music and myself, produced by @iam_vampire_official, and co-produced by @goldswarm.” He called for positivity and support as he continues to promote the track, adding, “Now that I have a new single out, please allow me to enjoy my new single, WINNING, in peace. Enough of the negativity!”
