Two renowned scholars from Ilorin, Abdulfatahi Abdullah Oloyin and Abdulfatahi Abdulsalam Oladipupo, popularly known as “Ibeji Idunnu,” have unveiled a new Arabic book titled *Nafathatul Alkalam Fih Thalathiyatil Hakam*. The launch event took place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Muhammad Kamalud-Deen College, Apalara Area, Ilorin.
The book, translated into English as *Expressions of Words in the Triad of Wisdom*, is a 44-page publication featuring 99 sets of three-part messages that offer practical insights into various aspects of life, including spirituality, marriage, human relations, and work ethics. The book was reviewed by Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, Senior Special Assistant on Community Development to the Kwara State Governor.
Senator Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin Emirate and Senator representing Kwara Central, chaired the event, while Shaykh Abdullah Olohunkemi Arademi, founder of AJISON Islamic Society Group, delivered the keynote lecture. His address highlighted the importance of knowledge, piety, humility, and wealth in achieving a purposeful life.
The launch drew prominent figures from the Ilorin Emirate and beyond, including Dr. Muritala Abdulraheem, Personal Assistant to the Emir of Ilorin; Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunma, President of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA); and Dr. Adeniyi S. Aremu, Managing Director of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, among others.
The authors expressed optimism that their book would not only promote Arabic literature but also inspire readers to embrace wisdom in their daily lives. The event served as a platform to encourage a culture of reading and the growth of Arabic literary works in Nigeria.
