The Kwara State Government has expressed its willingness to collaborate with the National Association of Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) to enhance the administration and planning of tertiary education in the state.
The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, made this known while receiving members of NAEAP during a courtesy visit to her office.
She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the education sector, highlighting Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s dedication to strengthening tertiary institutions and ensuring access to quality education.
“The Kwara State Government is open to strategic partnerships that align with our efforts to improve tertiary education. We welcome NAEAP’s expertise in areas such as capacity building, policy formulation, and institutional governance,” she said.
Modibbo-Kawu commended NAEAP for its contributions to advancing educational management and assured the team of the state’s readiness to explore meaningful collaborations.
Speaking earlier, NAEAP Chairman, Dr. Muritala Tuku, emphasized the association’s commitment to promoting excellence in educational administration, planning, and policy implementation.
He noted that NAEAP plays a crucial role in strengthening governance in educational institutions across Nigeria through research, advocacy, and capacity-building initiatives.
Dr. Tuku also stressed the importance of continuous professional development for educational administrators and the integration of data-driven decision-making in policymaking.
“We acknowledge the significant progress made by the Kwara State Government in the education sector and are eager to contribute our expertise to further improve tertiary education. Through collaboration, we can enhance policies, develop innovative solutions, and ensure that education remains responsive to societal needs,” Dr. Tuku stated.
