The Kwara State Government has opened applications for the recruitment of new medical and health workers, following an approval granted by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to boost service delivery across hospitals and health centres in the state.
Permanent Secretary of the Civil Service Commission, Hajia Kifayat Jimoh, confirmed the development during a media briefing in her office on Friday. She said the exercise reflects the Governor’s commitment to revamping the health sector and meeting the growing demands for quality healthcare in both rural and urban communities.
“This is a deliberate step to close the personnel gap in our health facilities and ensure that Kwarans continue to enjoy improved, efficient healthcare services,” Hajia Jimoh said.
She applauded the administration’s consistent investment in healthcare, especially in infrastructure upgrade and public health outreach, adding that the recruitment is a continuation of those efforts.
A public notice has already been issued for interested candidates, and the Permanent Secretary advised applicants to carefully follow the laid-down requirements and procedures.
