Dr. Grace Adagba, Executive Chairman of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), conducted a monitoring exercise to ensure public schools in Makurdi commenced teaching promptly for the first term. The initiative aims to maximize the academic calendar by ensuring immediate learning.
During her visit, Dr. Adagba emphasized the importance of timely resumption and effective lesson delivery. She reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to improving education quality by ensuring teachers’ presence and engagement with students from day one.
Dr. Adagba encouraged teachers to remain dedicated, assured the public of SUBEB’s ongoing support, and praised Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for enhancing teachers’ welfare through timely salary payments. She warned that absent teachers would face transfers to their Local Government areas.
The Chairperson also provided helplines for parents to report any issues with the teaching process, receiving commendations from educators and parents for her proactive approach.
