Controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, widely known as Bobrisky, is currently in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos State. He was apprehended by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border while attempting to leave the country. Following his arrest, Bobrisky was transferred to the FCID for safekeeping late Monday night.
A source confirmed that Bobrisky, who was detained on Sunday, remains in custody as authorities await further instructions regarding his case. The spokesperson for the NIS, Kenneth Udo, had earlier stated that Bobrisky was a person of interest due to recent public concerns. He is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further proceedings.
The spokesperson for the FCID, Lagos, Mayegun Aminat, also confirmed the detention and said efforts are underway to obtain a remand order to keep Bobrisky in custody.
