Popular crossdresser and social media personality, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has filed a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. The lawsuit stems from accusations that VeryDarkMan released an AI-generated audio clip implicating Bobrisky in illicit relationships with high-profile politicians and law enforcement officials.
The lawsuit, announced via Bobrisky’s Instagram account on Sunday, alleges that VeryDarkMan made false and defamatory statements without regard for Bobrisky’s mental health, privacy, or constitutional rights. Bobrisky’s legal team further claimed that VeryDarkMan used their client’s name and influence to gain social media attention and personal benefit.
The legal statement reads, “Our client has informed us that in your quest for social media stardom, you have continued to exploit his name, personality, and social media influence to create media buzz for your personal gains.” The statement also highlighted that VeryDarkMan accused several high-ranking officials, including Deputy Inspectors General of Police, lawmakers, and politicians, of being involved with Bobrisky without providing any evidence to support these claims.
Bobrisky’s legal team is seeking N1 billion in damages, citing the false allegations as harmful to their client’s reputation.
