The Federal Government has announced that Friday, June 6th, and Monday, June 9th, 2025, will be public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, extending warm congratulations to all Muslim Ummah both in Nigeria and abroad on this significant occasion.
The Minister urged the Muslim faithful to continue embracing the spirit of sacrifice and unwavering faith, as perfectly exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him). He also called on them to use this period for prayers for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
Furthermore, the Minister reassured all Nigerians that the current administration’s people-focused reforms and initiatives, which align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, are specifically designed to steer Nigeria back onto the path of progress.
Wishing the Muslim Ummah a joyful Eid-ul-Adha celebration, Dr. Tunji-Ojo encouraged all Nigerians to unite with the present administration in its determined efforts to restore Nigeria’s glory as a truly great nation.
