Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has approved Monday, October 7, 2024, as a public holiday for teachers across Kwara State in recognition of World Teachers’ Day. This gesture is aimed at honoring educators for their significant contributions to society through quality teaching and shaping the next generation.
In a statement released by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, the Governor praised the dedication of teachers in both the public and private sectors, acknowledging their critical role in advancing human progress. “This holiday is a token of appreciation for the incredible work teachers do to nurture minds and foster growth,” the statement said.
Governor Abdulrazaq also extended his best wishes to all teachers, encouraging them to enjoy the well-deserved break in recognition of their hard work and commitment to education.
