UYO — Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move that has been welcomed by political leaders within the party.
Reacting to the development, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in a statement released via his official Facebook page, described the defection as a commitment to the continued progress of Akwa Ibom and a recognition of the achievements of the APC-led federal government.
“Today in Uyo, we welcomed Governor Umo Eno to the All Progressives Congress,” Sanwo-Olu stated. “His decision reflects a clear commitment to the progress of Akwa Ibom and the giant strides of the APC-led government under the leadership of our leader, President Bola Tinubu. Effective leadership is about making choices that best serve and prioritize the well-being of the people.”
Sanwo-Olu concluded his statement by welcoming the Akwa Ibom governor to the APC, saying, “Welcome to the team, Governor Umo Eno.”
