Hon. Owolabi Rasaq Holds Prayer for Late Grandmother’s One-Year Remembrance
Honorable Owolabi Olatunde Rasaq, member representing Share/Oke ode Constituency in the Kwara House of Assembly, has organized an Islamic prayer session to commemorate the one-year remembrance of his late grandmother, Alhaja Owolabi Asiawu.
The prayer session, held at the family residence, brought together family members, friends, and well-wishers to offer prayers and supplications for the deceased, Islamic clerics led the congregation in reciting verses from the Holy Quran and offering prayers for the soul of Alhaja Asiawu.
Hon. Rasaq, in his remarks, expressed his gratitude to Allah for the life and legacy of his grandmother, who he described as a pillar of strength and inspiration. He prayed for her soul to continue receiving divine blessings and mercy.
The event also featured the distribution of food and clothing to the less privileged, a gesture that Hon. Rasaq said was in line with his grandmother’s philanthropic spirit.
The prayer session was attended by dignitaries, including Islamic scholars, community leaders, and political associates of Hon. Rasaq. The event served as a testament to the enduring legacy of Alhaja Asiawu and the impact she had on those around her.
