The Kwara State Government has officially partnered with Kwara Kre8, a creative empowerment initiative targeting digital storytellers, content creators, influencers, filmmakers, and photographers. The government, through the Office of the SSA to the Governor on New Media, has signed on as the headline sponsor for the debut edition of the Kwara Kre8 workshop.
Kwara Kre8 shared the news, celebrating the partnership as a major step toward nurturing creativity in the state. The initiative aims to promote Kwara’s rich cultural heritage and artistic potential on a global stage.
Adebisi Oyelere, Creative Lead at Kwara Kre8, hailed the state’s support as proof of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s commitment to harnessing the creative economy for innovation, cultural growth, and economic development. According to him, the workshop will equip participants with industry-relevant skills, mentorship, and exposure to leading professionals.
He emphasized that the program will help creatives build valuable networks and showcase their talents to a wider audience. Notable keynote speakers lined up for the event include Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy Hannatu Musa Musawa, presidential aides Ayo Adeagbo and Sadiq Rabiu, among others.
Kwara Kre8 expressed deep appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq, describing the partnership as evidence of his administration’s youth-centered approach and dedication to promoting initiatives that empower young people.
