Kwara Express Executive Director, Basheer Luqman Olarewaju, anipr, has been selected for the prestigious 2024 PRNigeria Young Communication Fellowship. The announcement was made in a formal communication by PRNigeria, confirming Basheer’s successful application to participate in the inaugural Fellowship circle.
The highly competitive Fellowship is set to commence on 2nd October 2024 at the PRNigeria Center in Ilorin, Kwara State. As part of the program, Basheer will undergo a rigorous 4-week intensive training focusing on key areas such as Strategic Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Fact Checking, Social Media, and the application of Artificial Intelligence in Journalism.
Expressing his delight, Basheer Luqman noted, “I am proud and excited about this opportunity. I have always been intentional about building my knowledge and expertise, and this Fellowship will provide the platform to deepen my skills further.”
The Fellowship comes with added benefits, including a stipend and the opportunity for participants to join recognized professional bodies in their respective fields. PRNigeria has expressed its eagerness to have Basheer and the other selected fellows contribute meaningfully to the evolving landscape of media and communication in Nigeria.
As a well-respected Executive Director, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Honourable Muktar Tolani Shagaya, member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, and a notable member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Basheer’s participation in the Fellowship is expected to further enhance the communications strategy at Kwara Express, bringing cutting-edge techniques and innovations to the organization.
He is required to confirm his participation and submit a professional portrait by Monday, 23rd September 2024, as part of the final preparations for the Fellowship.
