The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has commenced online registration for the 2025 Common Entrance Examination into Public Junior Secondary Schools across the state.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, the registration exercise is scheduled to run from Wednesday, June 11 to Monday, June 23, 2025. Interested candidates can access detailed guidelines and complete the process via the official portal: https://placement.kwarastate.gov.ng.
The Ministry emphasized that the exercise is entirely free, as it is fully sponsored by the Kwara State Government in alignment with its policy of providing inclusive and tuition-free education.
All candidates are to be registered by their current primary schools. Private primary schools, however, must secure clearance from the Ministry’s Quality Assurance Bureau to obtain login credentials for the portal.
In preparation for the exercise, capacity-building training for head teachers of public primary schools begins today, June 11, 2025.
While the date for the entrance examination will be communicated in due course, the Ministry has warned head teachers against collecting any fees from pupils, stressing that violators will face sanctions in line with public service rules.
