The Kwara State Government has commended Honourable Muktar Tolani Shagaya, representative of Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, for his impactful contributions to the educational sector within his constituency. This recognition was given during the commissioning of a newly furnished two-classroom block at Eruda LGEA Primary School, an initiative facilitated by Shagaya to improve educational access and quality for local students.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Jiddah praised Shagaya’s grassroots-focused leadership, emphasizing how his efforts have reshaped the constituency’s image. Jiddah noted that Shagaya’s projects have brought essential resources to underserved communities, demonstrating his commitment to development that reaches all levels of society.
Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, represented at the event by Mrs. Olawumi Oludare, also lauded Shagaya’s dedication to public service. She highlighted his sustained commitment to advancing education, seeing it as key to both individual and community growth in Kwara.
The ceremony saw the presence of distinguished figures, including Magaji Onitanganran Alhaji Isiaq Mistra and Daudu Eruda Alhaji Mustapha Agboola, who showed their support for the initiative. Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, Shagaya’s legislative aide, expressed appreciation for the government’s endorsement and reaffirmed Shagaya’s resolve to continue delivering valuable projects that meet the needs of his constituents.
