Alhaji Sherif Shagaya, Chairman of the Salman Shagaya Foundation, and Honourable Muktar Tolani Shagaya, member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, were present at the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in support of the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Abdulrahman Babatunde Ladan, alongside Vice Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Suliyat Oyindamola Olowu, and Ojuekun/Zarumi Ward Councilorship candidate, Hon. Aminu Abdulrazaq. The event took place at Oke Apomu Junior Secondary School.
During the rally, Honourable Muktar Shagaya enjoined the electorate to support the APC in the upcoming polls, assuring them that Hon. Ladan would not disappoint. He emphasized that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has set a great example of leadership, which they are proud to follow, and called for unity within the party.
Alhaji Sherif Shagaya expressed his joy at the large turnout and urged the public to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, reassuring them that the economy would recover to alleviate the suffering of the masses. In a gesture of support, he donated ₦5 million to the Ojuekun/Zarumi Ward APC.
Hon. Abdulrahman Ladan, the APC chairmanship candidate, thanked Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and Shagaya for their backing and promised to deliver good governance at the grassroots level.
Earlier, Alhaji Sulyman Tejidini, Chairman of APC Ilorin West, reaffirmed that APC remains the leading party in Kwara State, dismissing the notion of a strong opposition.
