Nigerian-born bodybuilder Samson Dauda has clinched the prestigious 2024 Mr. Olympia title, securing the largest prize ever awarded in the sport’s history. The event took place at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada, serving as the grand finale of the 2024 Olympia weekend.
Dauda, who is based in the United Kingdom, not only won the title but was also crowned the People’s Champion, earning a record-breaking $600,000 prize. Runner-up Hadi Choopan and 2023 champion Derek Lunsford took second and third place, respectively.
This historic win marks a significant milestone in Dauda’s career and underscores his dedication and hard work in the sport of bodybuilding. The 60th edition of the Mr. Olympia competition saw fierce competition among 15 elite athletes who advanced from the pre-judging stage to the main stage for the ultimate crown.
