To encourage young people to take part in building their communities, NYSC Corps Member Shukurat Temitope Ibrahim and her team held a talk on community development at Government Vocational Training School, Bolari East.
Speaking to the students, Shukurat explained that community development means “helping people to help themselves.” She urged them to be responsible citizens, reminding them that even small efforts can bring about big changes.
The school’s principal, Mr. Usman Umar Shettima, praised the initiative, calling it timely and impactful. He also commended Shukurat and her team for their commitment to youth empowerment.
Fellow Corps Members Haroon Muhammed, Patience Paul, Jonathan Joel, and Chidinma Cleopatra also took part, sharing insights on how young people can contribute to the growth of their communities.
