Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has branded Paul Pogba a “wasted talent”, warning Premier League clubs against signing the French midfielder. Speaking on the Three Up Front podcast, Souness said, “If I were a Premier League manager, there are no circumstances under which I would take a punt on bringing in Paul Pogba. He’s only played 39 games since the 2021/22 season. He is extremely talented, but he’s a wasted talent.”
Souness added that the worst thing that happened to Pogba was winning the World Cup, as he believes Pogba has not been the same since. The former Juventus and France midfielder is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus was terminated.
Pogba has been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, but Souness has advised caution, describing Pogba as “lazy” and warning that he could be detrimental to any team’s cause.
