Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has made headlines once again by declaring himself a pastor. In a recent video, Portable asserted that he is a pastor through whom God communicates directly with people.
This declaration came after a video surfaced showing Portable assaulting a preacher who was delivering a sermon at his bar. The incident sparked significant outrage online, with many Nigerians criticizing the singer’s actions. In response to the backlash, Portable, dressed in a celestial outfit, defended his actions by stating, “I’m a pastor. When I speak, God speaks. I have never disrespected any pastor. If he were one, God would have told me”.
Portable’s claim has added to his already controversial reputation. He further elaborated that he is a multifaceted individual, describing himself as a king, a pastor, a native doctor, and an Islamic cleric. Despite his unconventional behaviour, Portable insists that he is a servant of God and that his words are divinely inspired.
The incident has continued to generate buzz, with religious leaders and the public weighing in on Portable’s self-proclaimed pastoral role.
