Controversial Nigerian musician Portable has once again found himself at the center of a storm after a video surfaced showing him slapping a pastor who was preaching near his bar. The incident, which occurred on September 9, 2024, was captured during a live Instagram broadcast, allowing viewers to witness the altercation in real-time.
According to reports, the pastor was delivering a sermon outside Portable’s bar in the Sango area of Ogun State when the musician confronted him. Portable, visibly agitated, accused the pastor of disturbing his customers and disrupting his business. The confrontation quickly escalated, with Portable hurling insults before slapping the pastor.
In the video, Portable can be heard saying, “Why are you doing this? Are you crazy? Why are you coming to disgrace me in my bar?” before delivering the slap. He further added, “This is how they spoil my business and disturb my customers. Are you crazy? Early on a Monday, you’re spoiling my business. I had prayed for myself before leaving home”.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many users condemning Portable’s actions and calling for his arrest. Comments ranged from expressions of disbelief to outright anger, with some users labeling the musician’s behavior as unacceptable and calling for legal action.
