President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) summit. His visit comes at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, confirmed Tinubu’s arrival in a post on his X page. Accompanied by a video of the President’s arrival, Olusegun wrote, *“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrives in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he is received by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE.”*
Themed *“The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,”* the summit runs from January 12 to 18. It serves as a global platform for leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to accelerate sustainable development and address key socio-economic challenges.
During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to deliver a speech focusing on his administration’s reforms in energy efficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development. Additionally, discussions with UAE leadership will center on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring opportunities for enhanced economic and diplomatic partnerships.
Joining the President on this trip are Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President; and Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The summit underscores the shared commitment of global leaders to transition to a sustainable economy and foster international cooperation for prosperity.
