Muktar Tolani Shagaya, the Federal Representative for Ilorin West/Asa constituency, was recently recognized at Kwara State University (KWASU) during the Students’ Representative Assembly’s Parliamentary Summit. The summit, themed “Youth Leadership and Democratic Governance: Building the Future Today,” provided a platform for discussing the crucial role of young people in shaping modern leadership.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page after the event, Representative Shagaya expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating, “It was a great honor to serve as the Honoree for the KWASU Students’ Representative Assembly during their Parliamentary Summit on ‘Youth Leadership and Democratic Governance: Building the Future Today.’ I emphasized that the youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the leaders of today.”
He also urged the students to develop resilience and wisdom, key qualities for effective and transformative leadership.
