In a show of strong support for the leadership of Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq CON, Rep. Muktar Tolani Shagaya has lauded the governor’s visionary efforts in rural infrastructure development. Shagaya commended the recent flag-off of the 209.77Km rural road construction at Madi-Peeke Road, Asa/Ilorin West LGA, which is part of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP). According to Shagaya, this initiative reflects the governor’s commitment to socio-economic development, particularly by opening up rural areas for agricultural growth and investment.
Shagaya emphasized that the project will unlock significant economic opportunities for the people of Kwara State by improving road access, which will ease the transportation of goods and enhance agricultural productivity. He also congratulated the people of Kwara for this milestone, which is poised to attract more investors and facilitate faster development across both urban and rural communities.
In addition to commending Governor Abdulrazaq’s efforts, Shagaya also acknowledged the support of traditional rulers and the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union for their role in advancing the state’s growth. Shagaya further engaged with the Asa Local Government, visiting the newly elected Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, Vice Chairman Hajia Issa Rasheedah Omowumi, and council members.
During his visit, he inspected the toilet and solar borehole he facilitated at Asa LGEA Primary School, Afon, reaffirming his commitment to grassroots development and community engagement.
