Controversial social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), on Monday led a protest at the gate of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s office in Abuja.
According to PUNCH Online, primary school teachers across the FCT have been on strike since March 24, 2025—over 90 days—citing the failure of Area Council Chairmen to implement the new national minimum wage of ₦70,000.
As part of the protest, VDM arrived at the scene dressed in school uniform alongside several children, also in uniform. He conducted a mock class session in front of the Minister’s office, teaching the children the alphabet in an unconventional manner—saying phrases like “S for Suegbe, T for Tinubu, W for Wike,” with the children echoing him.
Despite being approached by reporters, VDM declined to comment, stating only that the Minister’s gate had now become the new classroom for the children.
At the time of this report, the children were observed taking a lunch break, eating rice and chicken reportedly provided by VDM and his associates.
