The Organising Committee of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) National Research Fair/Exhibition has announced that it has received over 1,600 entries for the maiden edition of the programme. This impressive number of submissions highlights the enthusiasm and commitment of researchers, innovators, and investors towards advancing knowledge and innovation in Nigeria.
In an interview with reporters in Abuja, Chairman of the committee, Engr. Umar Bindri, revealed that the submission deadline for concept notes has been extended by one week to accommodate more participants. The TETFund National Research Fair/Exhibition is scheduled to take place from November 17 to 22, 2024, and aims to bridge the gap between research, innovation, and the market.
Engr. Bindri emphasized that the five-day event will provide a platform for researchers, innovators, manufacturers, investors, venture capitalists, and policymakers to showcase their products and ideas to a broader audience. The event is expected to foster collaboration and create opportunities for the commercialization of research outputs.
The overwhelming response to the call for entries reflects the growing interest in research and development in Nigeria. The committee encourages all eligible participants to take advantage of the extension and submit their proposals before the new deadline.
