Nigerian content creator, Kuye Adegoke, popularly known as Egungun of Lagos, has found himself at the center of a social media storm following the leak of a private video. The video, which quickly went viral, shows Egungun engaged in a video call with an unidentified woman, during which he exposed himself.
Before the video surfaced, Egungun’s wife, Pashotah, publicly addressed a blackmail attempt involving her husband’s private videos. She took to Instagram to defend him, stating, “Someone is blackmailing me with my husband’s videos. This relationship is built on trust, understanding, loyalty, and commitment. Nothing can bring us down, not even now”.
However, this development has ignited widespread reactions online, with many questioning Egungun’s earlier image as a family-oriented man. Netizens have criticized Pashotah for her unwavering support, suggesting it was misplaced given the video’s content. One user on X.com wrote, “So Egungun’s wife watched that video and still had the temerity to come out and defend him? I thought we all agreed that Nigerian women now know their worth”.
