Leading the charge towards sustainable development, the University of Ilorin has appointed former Dean of Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Prof. Olatunji as Director of its Center for Sustainable Development. With a proven track record of pioneering work in the field, Prof. Olatunji brings invaluable expertise to the table.
This strategic appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the university, as it strives to make a positive impact on the environment and society at large.

In his new position, the Don of Human Physiology, Prof. Olatunji will be spearheading initiatives aimed at reducing the university’s carbon footprint and promoting eco-friendly practices across its campuses. This includes developing renewable energy sources, implementing recycling programs, and introducing green technologies to minimize waste.
Under his leadership, the Center for Sustainable Development will also work on projects that foster social and economic equity, creating opportunities for marginalized communities and promoting ethical business practices.
